DWC donates gift cards to CCPS’s Homeless Education Program

On December 8, 2020, the Democratic Women’s Club (DWC) of Charlotte County delivered 75 gift cards to the Charlotte County Public School’s Homeless Education Program. The gift cards represented $1835 in donations.
Every year the Club collects donations for the program as part of its holiday luncheon event, and then delivers the donations to the Charlotte County Public Schools. The Homeless Education Program then distributes the donations to the parents in the program. Kay Blue, President of the Charlotte County DWC, says, “We are very graeful that even though the luncheon event was not held this year due to the pandemic, DWC members and friends still generously donated, so that families in the Homeless Program might enjoy a happier 2020 holiday season.
